The research and analysis presented in this blog will discuss mortuary practices and beliefs among inhabitants of the Great Plains, more specifically a few Native American tribes and American pioneers. We will make comparisons between the native groups as well as the effect that American pioneers had on the changes in death practices.

The authors of this blog are undergraduate students from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln. This blog is supplementing our ANTH215: Anthropology Of Death coursework.
